Again thanks for the help but I believe I have reached the end of my patience with this card. The sound card is the one that came with the computer. Once I rebooted, I had a constant reverb that couldnt be turned off, none of the Creative apps would run. Some displayed card not detected and such. That is how it goes sometimes I guess when they want to force you to buy new hardware even though the old hardware still works fine. I read on the net that I can use windows vista drivers for it. .
